Composition

This medicine contains an enzyme that is naturally secreted in the human body. It is called the human chorionic Gonadotropin. Storage

How to Take Proficent 5000?

This medicine should only be administered to you by a doctor or a nurse or a healthcare worker who is trained to do so. This medicine is injected by intramuscular and subcutaneous routes.  A Reconstitute vial contains 5,000 units of chorionic gonadotropin lyophilized powder with 10 mL of bacteriostatic water for injection Is also provided by the manufacture. How Does Proficent 5000 Work?

The mechanism of action of this medicine involves induction of ovulation in those women who are not able to ovulate due to secondary causes such as deficiency of pituitary. In some cases, this medicine is given along with the follicular stimulating hormone.

Proficent 5000 Dosages

Alpha-Blockers

Human chorionic gonadotropin does show any significant interaction with alpha-blockers.

Amlodipine

The human chorionic gonadotropin does not show any significant interaction with Amlodipine or with calcium channel blockers.

Ritonavir and Other CYP3A4 Inhibitors

The inhibitors of this particular enzyme pathway have no significant effect on the action of human chorionic gonadotropin.

Alcohol

There is no significant interaction between alcohol and human chorionic gonadotropin for as long as you consume alcohol in limited quantities. 

Contraindication

Nitrates

Nitrates do not have any significant interaction with human chorionic gonadotropin.

Hypersensitivity Reactions

At the site of injection of the medicine, there can be pain, rash, bruising, inflammation, any other reaction, vessel site hemorrhage, etc. Other features are feelings of Dizziness, hypesthesia, paresthesia, twitching, Fatigue, pain, swelling, etc.

Warnings and Precautions

Cardiovascular 

Many cardiovascular manifestations like bruising, edema, thromboembolism, peripheral swelling, shock, Atrial septal defect, cardiac arrhythmia, heart murmur, hot flashes, vascular complications, etc have been reported by the patients but their incidences are very low.

Prolonged Erection and Priapism

This medicine has no effect on this condition. No patient has ever reported the development of prolonged painful erections after taking this medicine. 

Effects on the Eye

It can cause the development of vasoproliferative retinal disorders affecting the young eye.

Hearing Loss

No patient has ever reported an alternation in the hearing capacity after taking this medicine.
